Good, but...

...would like to have the ability to enter temperatures in Celsius as well.

doesnt work

after installing at thd first trial the app goes in crash

Crash

First download for this app. Just downloaded to iPhone 6, and every time I touch the i for information, the app closes. Without access to the info. button, the app is worthless. Also, when trying to get App help, the linked website has no item in the menu to get app assistance!!

WILDLY INACCURATE AND DANGEROUS!!!

On this app it reported 85 degrees and 44% humidity. It gave a feels like temp of 85. Yet my weather app said 87 with 44% humidity felt like 101 degrees. To be off that far, 16 degrees, is a huge difference in how you treat the conditions you are working in. If this is a glitch fix it before people die. Government in action is government inaction.

Hotlines crash the app

In app hot links crash the app. Please fix.

App

This app is great

Just keeps crashing

Erase it, download again and it just keeps crashing......works about as well as you would expect a government sponsored app to!

Inconsistent

Me, my coworkers and managers all have this app and the temperature and heat index are always reading different on each phone.

Fantastic

This app is absolutely fantastic! Its accurate and works great!

Not very accurate

Was using it on outdoor construction jobSite and discovered the app is not accurate. I would not use this app alone to determine rest times.

Waste of money

Congrats government. You spent $200,000 on an app that is literally a waste of time to download. It literally provides info that can easily be found for free on the Internet. The worst part is that you outsourced the development of said app to the UK.

Why is this needed?

What a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money. This app presents a feel like a first year programming students exercise at the end of chapter one of his textbook.

$200,000?!?!!

Did the Dept of Labor really pay $200,000 for this crap? I could do the same thing with an excel spreadsheet and be just as accurate.

Yeah

So I allowed this app to get the temp of where I currently was, cool. It said the temp was 39 degrees F, which was correct. Then it tells me that the heat warning level is very high to extreme, and that I should avoid sunlight wherever possible and split my workday so that Im not working during the middle of the day. Wuh????

This App Isnt Free.

The US Department of Labor (or lack thereof) spent $200,000 of the American Taxpayers money for this profoundly pathetic app. Even more egregious is that a British company benefitted from the deal and produced an app inferior to those created in most tutorials. Still more objectionable is the Labor Departments tacit approval of this particular theft and redistribution of US-created wealth to our competitors in the UK for no useful thing. The worst violation, however, of all American traditions and institutions that are good, rational, and reasonable is that this kind of lucrative expenditure on prototypically inferior thrift is EXTREMELY frequent and prevalent thanks to the spendthrifts on Capital Hill. I may soon withdraw my consent.

Ugh

Really $100,000 - you got ripped off!

Govt is watching you

My phone already tells me the temp and humidity. Thanks for wasting my tax dollars.

Not necessary for me, little bit broken

It says the heat index cant be calculated for temperatures lower than 80°. In that case it should not have the risk level illuminated in red with very high to extreme. This is broken and should be fixed. And it does seem kind of expensive at almost 0.2 cents per American, although still a much better deal than the Iraq war.

This is a waste

Dk bout the rest of the country. Here in fla u should all ready know when its to hot to work its fla for crying out loud. If u Dk if to hot u will figure out will quick if dont good luck thanks big gov for watching out for dumb plp

Best use of our tax money in years

Without this app, I could get heat stroke every day because not only do I not have heat receptors anywhere in my body, I also dont possess eyes to check how bright or clear a day is, I also dont have sweat glands, or a nose to detect humidity. I am surprised I can find my way around my house without the government.
